Food, Milestones, Personal

A tribute to those I work with.

In March of 2016 (my second year of university), I managed to secure a job working as a waitress at a pub near my university. The institution, named The Rat and Parrot, is a popular watering hole among students and local youth, and is one of the most established eateries in town.

Over the past 18 months that I have been working there, I have learned a lot of things and experienced a multitude of unique experiences that I could not have found anywhere else. While it has not been the easiest of journeys, I am extremely grateful for the people with whom I work. From fellow waiters and bartenders to management staff, from the kitchen ladies to the stock controllers, I am surrounded by many beautiful and soulful individuals.

While I intend to write publish an additional blog post within the next couple of days paying tribute to the kitchen staff who make my job possible, I am writing this post as a general tribute to celebrate the people I work with. Without these people, my job would be a whole lot harder and I a very miserable waitress.
